Ghana Rugby team ( Ghana Eagles) have today February 28, 2019 received cash of 10,000 dollars from the Sports Ministry for making the nation proud in the Africa Rugby Bronze Cup Championship last year.
The Eagles for the first time in history, won the 2018 Africa Rugby Bronze Cup Championship after beating Mauritius 23 points to 17 in a nail-biting final on March 12, 2018 at the Ndoum Stadium in Elmina, Central Region.
However, the Sports Ministry as part of fulfilling their promise, presented a cash of 10,000 dollars to the team earlier today at the Conference Room of the Youth and Sports Ministry.
Deputy Minister, Honorable Perry Okwudzato stood on behalf of the sector minister Honorable Kwame Asiamah to present the cash to the captain of the team.
Present at the presentation was the Chief Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr Frank Quist , Chief Accountant, Mr Emmanuel Oteng , Dr Owusu Ansah, the Technical Director.
