Former Black Stars of Ghana midfielder Micheal Essien has shared how he is coping under lockdown in Azerbaijan due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Essien is currently with Azerbaijani outfit Sabail FK and has been indoors since the outbreak of the deadly disease, forcing the leadership of the country to announce a nationwide lockdown.

Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic in Chinese city of Wuhan, Azerbaijan has recorded over 273 cases with 4 deaths while 26 have recovered.
In an Instagram live chat with colleague Azerbaijan Premier League player, Donald Guerrier who plays for PFK Neftchi, Micheal Essien indicated that he has engaging in training exercises with teammates through Zoom app.

“During the quarantine, I have nowhere to go. We use the Zoom application for training in our team and after my training and exercise, I relax at home. Sometimes I also listen to Ghanaian highlife music.”
Micheal Essien joined Sabail FK in March 2019 after deal with Indonesia side Persib Bandung came to an end in March 2018.
