Goldfields Ghana Limited is supporting the coronavirus fight in the country with a whopping eight hundred and thirty-three thousand dollars ($833,000).

The mining firm through the Ghana Chamber of Mines has donated four hundred and thirty-three thousand dollars ($433,000) to support the government’s effort in combating the pandemic.

Also, the management of the mining firm have decided to support the Ghanaian communities with the provision of personal protective equipments (PPE) which will cost four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000).
Coronavirus cases in Ghana
President Akufo-Addo announced in a Nationwide broadcast on Thursday evening that so far Ghana has recorded 378 cases of the pandemic with 6 deaths.
He indicated that 4 people have recovered with 2 in critical condition.

“As I said, we now have, in total, three hundred and seventy-eight (378) confirmed cases of infections, with six (6) deaths, four (4) recoveries and the remaining three hundred and seventy (370) are mild cases, who are in isolation, and are either being managed at home or at treatment centres”, President Akufo-Addo said in his address on Thursday.
Globally, 1,617,204 cases have been confirmed with 364,686 recoveries whilst 97,039 have died.
