Former Asante Kotoko legendary right-back Samuel Inkoom has revealed that he was receiving GH¢150.00 as monthly salary when he was playing for the club.
Inkoom who is considered as one of the best right-backs to ever don the Asante Kotoko jersey, indicated that he was receiving the lowest salary at the club then.

The former FC Basel defender was commenting on his days at Kotoko in an interview with Kumasi based Fox FM.
“I was playing for Kotoko with passion. I cherished the team and I was a supporter before joining the team”, Inkoom told Fox FM.
“I was receiving the lowest salary at Kotoko despite my extraordinary form for the team. Frankly, I was receiving GH¢150.00 as monthly salary but I was not perturbed because I was not looking at the money but the future.

Samuel Inkoom played for Kotoko from 2008-2009 season, winning the 2007-2008 Ghana Premier League title under coach Bashiru Hayford.

Currently, Samuel Inkoom plays for Samtredia in Georgia after spell with Bulgarian side Dunav Ruse.
He was an integral member of the Ghana U-20 side that won both the Africa Youth Championship in Rwanda and the U-20 FIFA World Cup in Egypt.

Samuel Inkoom has capped 46 matches for the Black Stars since his debut game in 2008, scoring a goal.
