The reigning artiste of the year for the just ended third edition of the Rigworld Training Center Western Music Awards, Ayesem has promised to put the region on the map through his music.
Ayesem known in real life as Stephen Siaw took over the mantle from Kofi Kinaata as the artiste of the year in the third edition of the Western Music Awards which had Rigworld Training Center as it headline sponsor.
He beat competition from Lynx Entertainment music duo Dopenation as well as Akoffena Difaya, Vincent Nyarko, Weaporn and Nero X to lift the ultimate for the very first time.
The rapper cum singer who took home the hiplife artiste of the year as well believes the awards means a lot to him and will do his maximum best to put Western region higher in the showbiz industry just like what his predecessor Kofi Kinaata did .
“Ghanaians, my fans and family voted! They made sure I took home the ultimate crown as ‘Artiste of the Year’ at the RTC Western Music Awards 2019…. We also took home ‘Hiplife Artistes of the Year’. Others to have gone home with an award on last Saturday at the Best Western Plus Atlantic Hotel were Shola Baybe who took home the female vocalist act of the year, Nemesis Loso won the new artiste of the year, Casta Troy was the hip pop artiste of the year, Fameye won the highlife artiste of the year, Vincent Nyarko was adjudged the gospel artiste of the year etc.
