Medeama Sporting Club goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi has said he will not accept a pay cut should his club make an attempt to slash down their salaries.
It has generated an unrest in Ghana whether players should accept a slash down in salaries to support their clubs as football activities has been put on hold due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Speaking in an interview with Nimde3 FM, Eric Ofori Antwi stated emphatically that he will not accept a slash down in salaries.
“It was proposed by the foreigners to negotiate with the players to slash their salaries amid this virus.

“I will not accept pay cut because, what the foreign players received as salaries you can’t compare to that of Ghana”, he added.
Responding to a question on whether the 2019/20 league season should be truncated or not, Ofori said, “truncation of the league depends on the authorities if they call us to play, why not ? . we are ready.”
