Born Alfred Takyi Mensah by Mr. Robert Alfred Takyi Mensah and Madam Mary Otoo in Asafo, a suburb in Kumasi is a Sports Presenter for Media General subsidiary Connect 97.1 FM in Takoradi.
Alfredo’ as affectionately called by his listeners started his elementary school at Asafo M/A and continued at John Taylor Junior High School in Tarkwa before gaining admission at Kumasi Anglican Senior High School in 2006 and later completed at Takoradi Technical Institute [T.T.I] in 2011.
He then furthered his education at the Takoradi Polytechnic now Takoradi Technical University where he studied Pre-HND in Mechanical Engineering in 2013.
His life as a Broadcaster started in 2005 at Tarkwa based Dynamite 88.9 FM as Drive Time and Sports Producer.
He was also the Sports correspondent for Zuria 87.9 FM in Kumasi before switching to Takoradi Polytechnic in 2013.
At Dynamite FM, Alfredo formed a formidable sports crew with the sensational Kwaku Yeboah together with Henry Baffoe and Sapistit before joining Flex FM in Takoradi .
Alfredo had his way unto the Flex FM Sport platform through former Sekondi Hasaacas welfare officer Emmanuel Awuah, who recommended him to the then Head of Sports Benjamin Quansah.
He later became part of the Flex FM Sports crew after a scintillating output with Ben Quansah, Henry Eliud Yankey, Emmanuel Ewuah, Ampofo Adjei-Kumi Wilson and Nana Kwame then producer as the Sports crew.
Alfredo was with Flex FM until Media General took over and changed it to Connect FM in 2015.
He is known at Connect FM as foreign news presenter, a commentator and host of local sports commentary and doubles as head of production for the Sports Avenue Show on Connect 97.1 FM.
