The Referees Association of Ghana alongside the Normalization Committee will be meeting the Youth and Sports Minister, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah over an unsettled officiating allowances.
The emergency meeting by the Sports Minister is to avert to RAG decision of suspending its services in the ongoing Normalization Committee Special Competition over unpaid allowances.
The urgent meeting scheduled to come off on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 will involve GHALCA Chairman, Mr. Cudjoe Fianu as well as representatives from the Normalization Committee and Mr. Joe Debrah who is the Chairman of RAG.
At the meeting, the sports minister is expected to assure RAG of payment of the officiating fees with immediate effect following an earlier assurance from the Finance Ministry.
The Finance Ministry headed by Hon. Ken Ofori Atta per reliable information, has assured to release funds to the sports ministry by tomorrow (Tuesday May 7, 2019) to clear the debts in order to prevent unhealthy halt to the Special Competition.
