The Chief Executive Officer of leading steel manufacturing company in West Africa B5 Plus Limited, Mr. Mukesh Thakwani has been named the iconic industrialist of the decade.
The astute businessman was named the Iconic Industrialist of the decade at this year’s edition of the prestigious Ghana Entrepreneur and Corporate Executive Awards.
The Ghana Entrepreneur and Corporate Executive Award is an initiative to honour, reward, inspire and recognize the most successful and respectful entrepreneurs, business executives, corporate executives who own and manage successful organizations in the private and public sector.
The awards scheme is an initiative of the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG) and sponsored by M&G Pharmaceuticals, McDan Foundation, Electrochem Ghana Limited, JRA Cosmetics and Blowchem Industries.
This year’s was the eleventh edition and was held under the theme “Promoting Entrepreneurship Excellence for Sustainable Economic Development in the Post-pandemic transformation” and due to the covid-19 pandemic, the awards was held virtually on May 22, 2021.
Mr. Thakwani beat other notable nominees to win the enviable award following his vast contribution to the growth of the West African economy.
