Francis Asenso-Boakye has trashed out vote-buying allegations leveled against him by his opponent in the race for the New Patriotic Party Aspiring Member of Parliament slot.
The two, Francis Asenso-Boakye who’s also deputy chief of staff to the Akuffo-Addo led government and incumbent Honorable Daniel Okyem Aboagye are tussling it up for the Bantama Seat.

In a Facebook post Mr. Asenso-Boakye recounted receiving messages of the allegations leveled by his opponent; “I have received with much surprise, snippets of interviews granted by Hon. Daniel Okyem Aboagye, Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency, repeatedly making baseless allegations of vote buying against me.

“I have neither the means nor desire to engage in such discredited conduct. On the contrary, I am grateful for the goodwill extended to me by the executives and of our party in the constituency.”
Asenso-Boakye urged his opponent to refrain impunning the image of the constituency with such post.
“Bantama is bigger than any of us and we owe it to the delegates and the party to conduct our campaign with utmost decency and good faith”, Mr. Asenso-Boakye stated.
“For my part, I remain committed to serving the people of Ghana and Bantama with integrity”, he concluded.

NPP Aspiring Parliamentary Elections is scheduled for Saturday, June 20. Francis Asenso-Boakye who is a development planner by profession has been highly tipped to defeat the incumbent MP over the MPs inability to bring development to the constituency.
