The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation has secured scholarship package with Lovely Professional University (LPU) in India for students at the various Ghanaian fishing and rural communities.
The package ensures a 50% discount in fees for every Ghanaian that enrolls in the University through the Foundation in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
The Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, Dr. Dominic Eduah alongside board member, Mr. Johnson Ben Oduro during a trip in the country met the leadership of the University to sign the mouthwatering package.
Lovely Professional University is the largest tertiary institution in India with one of the best educational infrastructures in the world. The school, situated on a 600acres land, has the state of the art facilities to rival the best Universities in the world and this package comes as a boost for those pursuing courses in the area of STEM.
After the ceremony with the Vice Chancellor of the University, the GNPC Foundation delegation met with the Ghanaian Student Union in the school to discuss their experiences since enrolling at the University.
The President of the Union testified about the school having the best facilities in the world and spoke fondly of the time they have spent there so far.
