Hasaacas FC has issued out a statement commiserating with the family of the late Mayor of the twin city, Honorable Anthony Kobina Kurentsir Sam.
The demise of the late Mayor occurred on Friday, June 12, 2020 at the Efia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital.
Late Anthony Sam began his tenure on March 24, 2017 and ended the 3 years and 3 months in office on Friday, June 12, 2020.

He was formerly a teacher at Nana Kobina Gyan, a basic school at Adiembra a suburb of Sekondi.
Hasmal’s statement reechoes the fact that the unfortunate news touches the club as the fortunes of the metropolis indirectly affects the club.

“The entire Sekondi Hasaacas Football Club fraternity have been hit with the news of the demise of the Late Sekondi–Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, Honorable Anthony Kobina Kurentsir Sam.
“Late Kobina Kurentsir Sam was a father for all and by this means send our deepest condolences to the entire family and everyone touched by this news.
“Death is not the opposite of life, but a part of it” – Haruki Murakami and by this sympathize with the entire Sekondi–Takoradi”.
