Incumbent Member of Parliament of Mpohor Constituency Hon. Alex Kofi Agyekum has lost the chance to stand in the general elections after a surprised defeat to John Saani in the ruling NPP Primaries today.
Hon. Agyekum who was hoping to become the legislator for the Mpohor Constituency for the third time in a row, has lost the primaries to John Saani in a keenly contested battle today.
The chairman of Parliament select committee on youth, sports and culture committee pulled 101 votes against John Saani’s 192.
Saani is expected to maintain the parliamentary seat for the NPP in the upcoming December polls.
