The Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem in the Western Region, George Mireku Duker is set to announce a huge sponsorship deal for the ongoing Western Regional division two league.
According to a reliable source, the legislator has intensified talks to sponsor the Tarkwa-Prestea zone of the Western Region Football Association’s division two league with the discussion far in advanced.[ads2]
The deal, according to sources will be between Gh¢30,000 to Gh¢40,000 among other packages depending on the agreement he will reached with the leadership of the region’s football activities.
The deal is expected to be finalized and announced in the next coming days as the parties involved are close to reaching an agreement.[ads3]
Should the deal be finalized, George Mireku Duker will be the second politician in the region to offer such a huge support to the Western Regional FA as far as the ongoing division two league is concerned.[ads4]
It would be recalled that, the member of Parliament for Takoradi – Dr. Kwabena Okyere-Darko who doubles as the Western Regional Minister weeks ago cashed in a sum of Gh¢20,000 as his support to the Sekondi/Takoradi zone of the league.
