Asante Kotoko defender, Habib Mohammed has implored the management of the club to sign striker Shafiu Mumuni.
Reports were rife in the media that, Asante Kotoko are close to signing the attacker as they strengthen their squad for the next season’s CAF Champions League campaign.

Reacting to the reports, Habib Mohammed who played with Shafiu Mumuni at AshantiGold believes Kotoko should do everything possible to sign the striker to solidify their attack.
“I have heard Kotoko are in talks with Shafiu Mumuni and I think they should sign him. I have played with him [Shafiu Mumuni] at AshantiGold and I know he is a top striker.

“Shafiu is one of the few strikers who create opportunities for others to score. He will be a good addition to our team’, Habib Mohammed said on Angel FM in Accra.
Shafiu Mumuni is now a free agent after ending his contract with AshantiGold Sporting Club.
