Injured Medeama SC midfielder Justice Blay has said he has been starving at home since sustaining the injury.
Blay sustained a fractured fibula in Medeama game against Legon Cities in week 20 of the Ghana Premier League at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.[ads2]
He has been out of action for the past four months but has currently started light training as he hopes to fully recover.
But according to the ace midfielder he has been starving since his injury as Medeama have not paid him his last month salary.[ads3]
This led to the midfielder posting a write up on his social media stating that football players only become important to their club owners when they are not injured but they discard them after sustaining an injury.
Speaking on Kessben FM in relation to the post, Justice Blay revealed that he made that post because he has been starving at home since sustaining that injury.
According to the player, he called his club owner Moses Parker for his last month salary only for the astute football administrator to tell him that he should wait till an approval from the account department of the team despite paying that of the Medeama players at the national team.[ads4]
Blay noted that the response from Moses Parker made him angry hence posting such a write up on social media as a way of expressing his grievances.
“They’ve been taken good care of me. I had an injury and I have started light training but I need to eat. My last month salary didn’t come, I was worried and called Moses Parker and asked the reason why I didn’t received my salary because I was told that my teammates at the national team have received theirs through mobile money, but my boss [Moses Parker] told me to wait for the account department approval, I was very pissed off because am starving at home and that led to my write up on social media”, Blay said on Kessben FM[ads5]
