Asante Kotoko defender Wahab Adams has denied reports of him having trials abroad.
The experienced central defender was reported to have traveled abroad for an unauthorized trials abroad.[ads2]
A statement from Kotoko stated that the player traveled abroad for the trials without the permission of the club despite having a binding contract.
Kotoko gave the defender August 23, 2021 to reach the management before facing the wrath of the club.[ads3]
But Adams has denied traveling abroad for the trials as it was stated by Asante Kotoko.

According to the player, he has only traveled to Italy for holidays as the team is on break and has not left the shores of the country for trials.[ads4]
“I have a running contract with Kotoko and they gave us one month break so i will be in Kumasi before they resume training to join the Porcupines prepare for the next season” Wahab Adams told ghanasportspage. com
“Yes , Asante Kotoko sent me the letter which has been replied. I have seen such announcement on that club’s (Wolkite FC) social media page but I haven’t signed any contract with any team, the said club is in Ethiopia and I am also in Italy, its not true”, he added.[ads5]
