Goalkeeper Fatau Dauda says under-fire Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah should be maintained despite Ghana’ shambolic AFCON 2019 exit.
Kwesi Appiah is under serious criticisms following the Black Stars round sixteen exit from the just ended AFCON, with some Ghanaians calling for his immediate resignation as the head coach.
But Fatawu Dauda who has worked with the former Asante Kotoko defender at the Black Stars, believes Ghanaians should throw their support for the coach despite the AFCON woes.
According to the former Enyimba FC goalkeeper, coaches are bond to fail and succeed and coach Kwesi Appiah is of no exception.
“Every coach in the world is bond to fail in life, so we should all throw our support for coach Kwesi Appiah and I know he can turn things around for Ghana”, Fatau Dauda told Ashh FM.
“It is possible Ghana can win the Afcon trophy if we focus as a Nation and start preparing towards winning the trophy.”
Ghana have not clinched the AFCON trophy for the past 37 years.
