The Chiefs and people of Ahanta and Nzema, on Friday September 28, will witness the much awakening Kundum Beatz event which seek to revive the celebration of festival among the youth.
The two-day event is an annual event to help the younger ones learn about and understand the relevance of the Kundum festival in Ahanta and Nzema lands.

This year’s will begin with a ‘Y’ello Friday’ event where all the corners of Agona Ahanta, where the event is being held, will be painted yellow. The organizers, Event Five expects everybody to wear a yellow dress to help add colour to the event. The day will be climaxed by a bonfire event in the evening.
There will be an Abisa competition on the following day (September 29) where the winner will be awarded with an appreciable prize.
This Abisa competition is aimed at engaging the youth, in particular, to know their cultural dance, and in general help them to keep up with their cultural heritage.

A festival without music is not engaging, and as a result, the Kundum Beatz will be climaxed with an electrifying musical concert with performances from some top artistes in the Western Region such as Andy Stoner, Papa Eliot, C2C , Cypher and others.

This year’s Kundum Beatz event which is being organized by eVent Five is under the theme ‘Reviving our culture’.
