Management of Western regional division two side, Bis Paradise have donated some learning materials which cost millions of Ghana Cedis to some of their youth team players.
The donation which was aimed at easing bit of pressure from parents and guardians whose wards are preparing for the 2018 academic year was held at Effie-Kuma Police Park on September 12.
Speaking to the media after the exercise, Mr. Micheal Quarshie, the Chairman of the club entreats children especially footballers to focus on their education more whiles exhibiting their talent on the field of play because most of the players at times struggle to read especially when signing a contract.
“School has reopened and we have seen that there is pressure on parents of the kids so we decided to help by giving them some of the books, pens and mathematical set, we have even given some of them full set of books”.
“We have told the players that it is not just playing football but adding education to it is also very important because we realized that when players sign contract they struggle and don’t know it”.
Present at the exercise was former Medeama Sporting Club defender who currently ply his trade for Tanzanian side Azam Football Club, Daniel Amoah who has also been an advocate in terms of helping young footballers educationally.
Meanwhile, Bis Paradise are preparing for the much touted Western Regional Club Owners Association mini tournament.
