John Mahama, former President of Ghana has come under lots of backlashes following his recent comment against the Akyems.
Mr. Mahama is reported to have shared an article written by Bolgatanga Central Member of Parliament Isaac Adongo on his Facebook page, adding to the article the descriptions ‘Akyem Sakawa Boys’ and ‘Grandpa’.
The NDC flagbearer has been chastised by many who believe the astute communicator is being ethnocentric and have even urged him to come out with an apology as soon as possible with the Vice President of the republic Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia among those personalities.

This has become new on the list of ethnocentric comments made by John Mahama who is vying for a comeback to the Jubilee House after he was unseated by President Akufo-Addo in the 2016 polls.
It would be recalled that, during his era as the President of Ghana, John Mahama made a comment that the indigenes of the Ashanti Region are not appreciative of whatever the NDC will do when in power by stating that, “As for the Kumasi, even if we [NDC] construct roads tarred with gold, they will tell us that we did nothing.”
