Karela United head coach Johnson Smith has charged the newly formed normalization committee to deal with the higher rate of player exodus in the country.
According to the renowned tactician, the rate at which Ghanaian players move out of the country to seek greener pasture elsewhere is gradually killing the Ghana Premier League and the normalization committee should channel their attention to it.
“What I will tell the normalization committee is that player exodus in the country is killing our league and therefore should be dealt with”, he told Kwesi Koomson of Takoradi based Aseda FM in an interview.
Asked what the normalization committee should do to curb the high rate of player exodus in the country, the former Sekondi Eleven Wise gaffer, Johnson Smith opined that the welfare of players and coaches must be the heart desire of the newly formed normalization committee.
“But player exodus can only be curb when they [Normalization Committee] have the welfare of the players and coaches at heart”, he added.
Meanwhile, coach Johnson Smith side Karela United who were in a spontaneous form before the recess of the Ghana Premier League as part of preparations ahead of the Startimes gala whipped division two side Axim United by 6:0 last weekend.
