Some night taxi drivers at Takoradi have expressed worry over the “barter trade” tactics deployed by most prostitutes to replace the normal cash payment.

Prostitutes have resorted to a new line of payment by easily dashing out sex to replace the traditional cash payment.
The prostitutes plead with the taxi drivers to accept sex in return for their service – mostly due to the prostitutes not being able to realize their target for the night – said the taxi drivers.
Taxi drivers who have declined the offer have left unpaid for their service and also when they have insisted on cash instead of sex, the prostitutes effortlessly create a story to humiliate the taxi drivers.
When www.kyfilla.com learned of the story we took to the street to find its authenticity and also engaged ten taxi drivers, but the prostitutes were not willing to speak to the issue.
All ten taxi drivers alluded to have encountered the situation twice or more and also added their colleague drivers who work at night have shared being confronted by situations like that.
All ten respondents failed to answer the question as to whether they had sex with the sex-workers.
80 percent of the taxi drivers interviewed had heard and encountered the situation more than five times.
“I’m old, as you can see – I’m suppose to feed my grandchildren so I won’t allude to what those girls who are not even at my last child’s age will say.

“I’ve had issues like that, a lot of them. What I normally do is, I try my best to recognize the face another time, so I don’t repeat same mistake” – one of the drivers who will be aged between 55 to 62 years revealed.[ads4]
According to one of the drivers he was once at the mercy of the residents of the prostitutes when he expressed dissatisfaction of the offer and insisted on getting paid GHS 20.00.
“She declined to pay me with cash and insisted on her body as payment instead. I rejected it, told her I need money. Held her for it and all of a sudden she started crying and about 4 people gathered around us.
“She told her residents that I had slept with her and decided to pay her GHS 30.00 instead of the agreed GHS 50.00 – I was gutted by the situation and had to drive off to seize further embarrassment.
Again some of the drivers revealed being nearly beaten by some macho men around the residents of these night workers.
