Ghana’ Black Queens beat Gabon in the return-leg of the 2020 Olympic Games qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium today.
Coach Mercy Tagoe Quarcoe’ side clamped Gabon 2-0 courtesy goals from Portia Boakye and Juliet Acheampong.
The Queens started very well in the encounter, creating some goal threatening opportunities which resulted in Portia Boakye’ 15th minute opener.
The game became a ding-dong affair with the first half ending 1-0 for Ghana.
Ghana returned from the recess with another brilliant of display, dominating possession and creating decent chances.
Juliet Acheampong made it 2-0 for Ghana in the 70th minute to end the game.
The 2-0 victory means Ghana has qualified to the next round of the qualifiers with 5-0 on aggregates.
Ghana will now face Kenya in the next round of the qualifiers.
