The Acting Paramount Chief of Wassa Amenfi Traditional Area, Nana Kwame Dankah has tipped FC Samartex to win the maiden edition of the Western Region Invitational Tournament.
According to Nana Kwame Dankah, the entire Wassa Amenfi Municipal are behind FC Samartex to return home as the champions of the competition.
He admitted that the competition would be very competitive considering the presence of Premier League clubs like Medeama Sporting Club, Karela United and Elmina Sharks.
He advised during the competition’ trophy tour at his palace today, that the organizers should be transparent and fair to each of the participating clubs for a successful tournament.

Meanwhile, the competition with Goldfields as its headline sponsor, has been scheduled to commence on September 20 and end at September 29, 2019.
Eight clubs which include; Medeama Sporting Club, Karela United, Elmina Sharks, Sekondi Hasaacas, Proud United, Skyy FC, Samartex FC and Sekondi Eleven Wise have all confirmed their participation.
The winner of the tournament will take home a cool GH¢ 6000 among other prizes, aside the GH¢ 5000 appearance fee for each club.
