The maiden edition of the Western Region Inter-District Athletics Championship which will be hosted at the Sekondi Sports Stadium has been slated for September 29 this year.
The much touted athletics championship will be participated by athletes within the various district in the region.
High profile athletes in the region including Faustina Amoah have all pledged their readiness to participate in the much awaiting championship.

The organizers urged cooperate bodies in and outside the region to support them organized a successful championship.

Athletes that will be selected during the event according to the organizers will form a regional team to compete in other championship with other regions .
