Former Ghana U-20 goalkeeper, Daniel Agyei has chosen Sammy Adjei and Richard Kingston as his best goalkeepers of all-time.
According to the Sebeta Kenema shot-stopper, the two goalkeepers were his idols during the genesis of his career at Liberty Professionals.

Speaking to Alfred Takyi-Mensah on Onua FM in Accra, Daniel Agyei explained that, ” my goalkeepers ever are Sammy Adjei and Richard Kingston. I had that great affection for Sammy Adjei during his days at Hearts of Oak. I simply love him and I learnt a lot from him. At times, I even cry whenever he lose a game. I remember travelling from Dansoman to Accra to monitor him at training. He was my role model”, Daniel Agyei said.
“As for Richard Kingston, I heard about him when he was in abroad but he became an important person to me during the World Cup (2006) and I had that love for him also. I even had the chance to work with him at the Black Stars and I must say it was nice working under him. I love them a lots and they’re are my best goalkeepers”, he added.

Daniel Agyei was the goalkeeper in posts for Ghana when the country won both the Africa U-20 Youth Championship in 2009 as well as the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt in the same year.

He has played for clubs like Liberty Professionals, Medeama Sporting Club, Simba Sports Club, Jimma Aba Jifar, Free State Stars and currently with Sebeta Kenema in Ethiopia.
Daniel Agyei has capped five times for the Ghana senior male national team (Black Stars) from 2009-2013.
