Former Black Stars of Ghana defensive midfielder Derrick Boateng says George Afriyie is the right person to lead Ghana football.

According to the former Fulham midfielder, George Afriyie is very humble and has enough experience in the football business and could revive Ghana football when elected as the Ghana FA President.

“George Afriyie is very humble and intelligent and I think he is the right person to lead Ghana football. With him our football will be great again”, Boateng told Takoradi based Kingdom FM.
George Afriyie will battle on October 25 for the Ghana FA Presidential seat against Kurt Okraku, Fred Pappoe, Nana Yaw Amponsah, Amanda Clinton and George Ankomah Mensah.
