Tullow Ghana Limited (TGL) as part of its contributions to the socioeconomic development of the country has outlined to support in broaden the knowledge of media practitioners in the Western region through its scholarship.
According to Madam Cynthia Lumor, who is the External Director of affairs at TGL, the leadership of the company have planned to offer scholarship to media practitioners in the Western region to broaden their knowledge in the oil and gas sector.
“Tullow Ghana Limited has plans for the media practitioners in the Western region. We have planned to support media practitioners in the Western region through our scholarship in 2019”, she revealed during a day media engagement with the media in the Western region, precisely Takoradi.
Asked how much as TGL invested in training youths in the country since obtaining license in 2006, Madam Lumor answered that TGL as part of increasing Ghanaian participation in the oil and gas sector has invested over $3.3m in training youth in Ghana and the leadership have also decided to train media practitioners in the Western region next year.

She however expressed her profound gratitude to the media for the opportunity given to TGL to explain their operations after twelve years of obtaining license in Ghana and concluded that the views of the media remain key to enabling TGL to be aware of the concerns and develop plans on how best to address it.
