Media General’s subsidiary in Takoradi, Connect 97.1 FM have appointed ace broadcaster Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson as their Programs Manager.
Peekay as affectionately called by his listeners joined the 97.1 dial few months ago after parting ways with Skyy Power FM in Takoradi.
The host of the Connect FM’s morning show dubbed ‘Omanbapa’ was given the new responsibility earlier this week following an agreement between the management of the station.
Known for his impeccable fantse dialect, Peekay has tremendously increased the listenership of the ‘Ye Nye Wo Nam’ sloganned media brand since his inclusion.
He recently grabbed the Western regional Radio Personality Award in the just ended 2018 Radio and Television Personality Awards.
