Nineteen medical doctors have contracted the deadly Coronavirus at the Tamale Teaching Hospital in the Northern Region.
The Director of Medical Affairs at the hospital, Dr. Abass Adam made this known to dailyguardnetwork.

According to Dr. Adam, about 31 health workers; 19 doctors, 12 nurses at the hospital have tested positive for Coronavirus.
He indicated that some of the health workers have been treated and discharged while others are still in isolation responding to treatments.

Dr. Abass Adam further added that about eight health workers at the hospital who were exposed to the devastating disease have been tested awaiting their results.
Coronavirus cases in Ghana
According to the latest update from the Ghana Health Service, 854 new cases have been recorded making Ghana’s total case count now at 22,822 with 17,564 recoveries.
Ghana’s active cases is now 5,129 with 129 deaths.
