The Black Princesses, Ghana’s U-20 women’s football team, have gathered in Cape Coast to set up camp in anticipation of the 13th African Games.
As the Blackqueens are gearing up to cut the one-goal deficit in Zambia to qualify for the Olympics, their junior side is also preparing for the All-African Games.
At the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on March 9, coach Yussif Basigi’s team will begin play against Ethiopia. In the remaining Group A games, they will play Tanzania and Uganda.
Abdulai Mukarama, the ladies’ striker for Hasaacas, and Stella Nyamekye have been called to camp in advance of the competition.
It is planned that the 13th African Games will take place in 2024, from March 8–23.
