Black Stars Head coach Otto Addo has announced his squad for the team’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
The senior men’s national team last came together in June for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, winning two straight against Mali and the Central African Republic.
In order to start the road towards the next AFCON, the players are expected to arrive by the end of this week or early the following week.
The core of Coach Otto Addo’s team, has been maintained with no major surprises.
Frederick Asare, the goalie for Asante Kotoko, remains the sole player on the list who is based in his home country, while Inaki Williams and Majeed Ashimeru make their comebacks after missing the previous games.
Due to his inability to find a new club, Captain Andre Ayew also misses out once more.
At Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday, September 5, the Black Stars will begin their 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Angola. Four days later, they will play Niger.
