Otto Addo, the Black Stars’ coach, has stated that he anticipates a raucous crowd of Ghanaians at Baba Yara Stadium to cheer on the team in their important match against the Central African Republic.
At the pregame news conference, Otto Addo addressed the media and urged supporters to show up in full force at the stadium on Monday at 19:00 GMT when the squad plays their opponents in Kumasi. Addo described the mood during Ghana’s match against Nigeria in the 2022 World Cup playoff final in Kumasi.
According to him, supporters play in key role in the team’s success recounting the massive support the Black Stars had during their draw with Nigeria which earned them a spot at the last World Cup.
“I was truly overwhelmed by the support we received last time we played here. It exceeded my expectations.Support should be unwavering, irrespective of the outcome, and Kumasi has consistently demonstrated this loyalty.Even in challenging times, I have no doubt that our fans will stand by us,” he stated.
A win for Ghana against Central African Republic will see the team climb to the top of the group I table.
