Athletes in the Western region are calling on individuals and cooperate bodies in the region for support.
This comes following the much awaiting Western region inter-district athletics championship which has been slated for September 30 this year.
The athletes speaking to Kwame Yeboah of Sekondi based Radio Silver in relation to the above-stated championship.
The athletes cried that equipment for training ahead of the championship have become an impediment for them and want cooperate bodies for assistance.
“We need the support of companies and individuals in this region.
“It’s sad that even equipment for training has become a problem for us”

According to them, equipment for training in the region is substandard and will entreat cooperate bodies and individuals for support to enable them prepare well for the championship.

Meanwhile, the Western region inter-district athletics championship which is slated for September 30 this year will be hosted at the Sekondi Sports Stadium.
