Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has said again that nobody can force him to retire from playing for the Ghana senior national team.
There has been calls from Ghanaians for some of the Black Stars players including Asamoah Gyan to step aside following lack of adequate playing time in their various clubs which has resulted them dipping in form.
Gyan however admitted that he has dipped in form due to injury setbacks but not because is he aging and therefore nobody can force him to step aside from the Black Stars.
“People have been complaining about my current form but they should know that injuries are part of the game’,Gyan told UTV.
“I have dipped in form not because of inadequate playing time in my club but because of some injury situations I had to dealt with.
“I can retire from the Black Stars any day but nobody can force me to retire from the Black Stars”, he added.

Asamoah Gyan is currently the leading top scorer for the Ghana senior national team Black Stars with 51 goals.
