Dissatisfied Customers Of Menzgold have declared that they will be going on a nation wide demonstration to tally their resentment with the company following its negligence to pay them their locked up investments.
This demonstration, as stated by the spokesperson of the aggrieved customers, Timothy Binob will be mounted at the end of October, this year.
Mr Binob speaking to Accra based Citi fm, encouraged all customers of the company to take part in the demonstration.
“We have been promised by the firm and for several times they have not fulfilled their promises. They gave us a four week period to come out with a percentage they will be paying, but none of the customers has received anything,no customer has received any money; not even a single one”, he said.
Early this month, Menzgold declared that it will pay only the value of gold traded which is the initial investment of the customers in their gold vault market after January 9,2019.
The company made known that this decision was taken at a meeting held at the Korkdam hotel, Achimota in Accra.
They also told the Customers that anyone who wish to end their investment with the company could also do after the stated date.
It was also made known to the customers that they would no longer pay extra value because of the challenges they facing ‘with the instructions and actions of certain government institutions’.
Rev Joseph Appiah Odei a customer has sued the company for breach of contract and misrepresentation.
