Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach C.K Akunnor says the team would need two additional foreign players to beef up the current squad.
Asante Kotoko would be participating in the next season’s CAF Confederation cup and have even started camping in the Western Region as earlier reported by kyfilla.com.
In an exclusive interview with Kyfilla.com, the astute tactician for the Porcupine Warriors believes his outfit would need two more players outside Ghana to strengthen up their squad for the big task ahead.
“I’m okay with the preparations so far but we will need two additional players outside the country.
“We need the foreign players because most of the teams here wouldn’t easily release their players to us but I think when we try the foreign ones we will get them”.
As part of their preparations, Kotoko was earlier reported to engage Ivorian giant Asec Mimosas in an international friendly but according Akunnor nothing concrete has been concluded.
” We wanted to play Asec but for now nothing concrete has been done but we will have options to paly some of the teams here if the encounter with Asec becomes unsuccessful.
