The Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana, Professor Mike Aaron Mike Ocquaye has donateda sum of GHS 50,000 to the Black Queens as his support ahead of the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.
Captain Jean Ayiyiem received the cash on behalf of the team and expressed their profound gratitude to the speaker of the Parliament and added that Black Queens will definitely make Ghana proud in the upcoming Championship.
Ghana is hosting this year’s AWCON which has been scheduled to commence on November 17 to December 1, 2018.
Ghana has been drawn in the group A and will face Algeria in the opening game on Saturday 17th November at the Accra Sports Stadium whereas Cameroon will lock horns with Mali in the same group.
On the other hand, South Africa in group B will face tournament favorite Nigeria whereas Zambia take on Equitorial Giunea.
