The Black Queens of Ghana are out of the Total Women’s Cup of Nations after drawing 1:1 with Cameron today at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ghana had the opener courtesy Portia Boakye but it was equalized by the Cameroonians through a penalty spot.
The game ended 1:1 after the ninety minutes at the Accra Sports Stadium which means Ghana is out of the ongoing AWCON.
Ghana placed third in the group with 4 points whereas Cameroon sat top with 7 .
Mali on the other hand managed to beat Algeria 3:2 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium to secure qualification to the semi-finals of the competition.
Mali managed to place second in the group with 6 points whereas Algeria languished at the bottom without even a point after three matches.
This also means Ghana would not participate in the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup for the fourth time after failing to secure a semi-final berth.
