National Sports Authority boss Mr. Majeed Bawa says bad officiating caused the Black Maidens to exit from the ongoing FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The Maidens were booted out in the quarter finals stage of the competition in a penalty shootouts by Mexico.
Coach Evans Adotei and his charges arrived yesterday at the terminal 3 of the Kotoka International airport.
Speaking to the media after the arrival of the team, Mr. Bawa emphatically stated that, bad officiating caused the Maidens exit from the World Cup but believes the ladies did their maximum best.
“The ladies did well but bad officiating caused our exit from the World Cup”, he said.
Meanwhile,the team are currently lodging at the M Plaza Hotel in Accra waiting to be dispersed to their various destinations.
