The only representative for Ghana in the 2019 CAF inter-club competition, Asante Kotoko have depart Ghana for Ethiopia enroute to Kenya to face Kariobanji Sharks in the CAF Confederation Cup second stage of the prelims.
The Porcupine Warriors departed Ghana for Ethiopia around 11am with 18 man squad together with four management members and Seven technical team members for the trip.
Coach C.K Akonnor and his charges are expected to land in Ethiopia before boarding a flight to Kenya for their Confederation Cup opener against the holders of the Kenya FA Cup.
Songne Yacouba who has been suffering from an ailments made the trip together with newly signees such as Maxwell Baako, Umar Bashiru, Daniel Nii Adjei, Abdul Ganiyu and Richard Senanu.
The encounter is slated for Saturday 15th December,2018 at the Kasarani Stadium, 3:00PM in Kenya and 12noon in Ghana with the return leg at Baba Yara Sports Stadium scheduled for Saturday 22nd December,2018.
