Hearts of Oak thrilled fellow Premier League side Medeama Sporting Club by 1:3 to lift the Amankuma Cup.
Medeama SC hosted the Continental Club Masters in the ‘Amankuma Afahye’ Cup at the Tarkwa and Aboso Park today.
Goals from Joseph Esso and Salasi Bless Bakai were enough for the Phobians, as they whipped noisy makers Medeama Sporting Club by 1:3 in the friendly encounter.
Salasi Bakai who has been on and off for the Rainbow side had a brace to rekindle interest at the sight of new head coach Kim Grant whereas deadly goal poacher Joseph Esso brilliantly converted a spot kick to make it three for the rebuilding Hearts of Oak side.
Coach Samuel Boadu side’s managed to pull one back to console their sorrowful supporters through a sensational piece from one of the brilliant midfielders in the country, Justice Blay.
The game ended 1:3 in favour of the visitors, Accra Hearts of Oak who are in the rebuilding process.
The victory also means, Kim Grant who is the Director of Football cum first team coach for the Rainbow team wins his first ever lurell since his appointment.
