Former WBO Super Bantamweight Champion, Isaac Dogboe, will fist up against Black Stars and Athletico Madrid’s midfielder Thomas Partey and Professional Footballers Association of Ghana Chairman, Anthony Baffoe for the coveted MTN Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Sports Personality of the Year Award to be held later this month.
The trio: Isaac Dogbe, Thomas Partey and Anthony Baffoe emerged as the final shortlisted nominees for the biggest honour on the list which was released on Saturday, January 5.
Thomas Partey will also challenge four others, namely John Antwi, a loanee from Egyptian club Al Ahly; Kotoko goalie Felix Annan, Kassim Nuhu of German club, Hoffenheim, and Joseph Aidoo of Genk in the Belgian First Division for the Male Footballer of the Year award.
In the female category, Faustina Ampah who played part in FC Minsk’s historic quadruple of trophies in 2018 will welcome competition from Black Maiden’s striker Mukarama Abdulai and Black Princesses and Black Queens Grace Asantewaa for the Female Footballer of the Year Award.
