Kumasi Asante Kotoko trip to Cameroon to face Coton Sports de Garoura in the final play-offs of the CAF Confederation Cup nears postponment as Unity Air fails to get International Clearance Certificate to airlift the Porcupine Warriors.
The Kumasi based team were supposed to charter Unity Air owned by club’s Chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei to Cameroon for the final play-offs encounter against Coton Sports de Garoura scheduled for January 13, 2019 at the Military Stadium in Yaounde- Cameroon.
But reports from Kumasi based Ashh FM reveals that Unity Air has failed to get an International Clearance Certificate (ICC) to airlift the Porcupine Warriors for the trip to Cameroon.
This means Kotoko have to reschedule plans for the trip to Cameroon for the titanic encounter against the Cameroonian elite league defending champions.
Meanwhile, coach C.K Akonnor and his boys have begun an intensive preparations ahead of the Confederation Cup game against Coton Sports after their stalemate clash against regional rivals Ashantigold in the John Agyekum Kuffour’ Cup on last Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Kotoko are expected to host Coton Sports de Garoura in the return-leg of the CAF Confederation Cup in a weeks time after the first- leg in Yaounde- Cameroon.
