Former Black Stars Management Committee Chairman, Fred Pappoe has declared his intentions to contest for the vacant Ghana Football Association (GFA) Presidency.
Pappoe, who is the director of Accra Great Olympics made this known during an interview with Kumasi based Oyerepa FM.
According to him, he has finally decided to make a return to the Ghana Football Association after his exit from the Executive Committee in 2015.
” I can confirm that I will contest for the GFA Presidency, it’s no more likely but I will contest, this I can confirm”, he stated emphatically.
Pappoe is considered by many as someone knowledgeable and experienced to succeed his former boss Kwesi Nyantakyi who has been banned for life by the world’s football governing body, FIFA after being captured in the Anas expose involving himself in a scandalous behavior.
The former GFA Vice President together with some personalities which includes Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer, Alhaji Karim Grusah, Kurt Okraku, George Afriyie, Kudjoe Fianoo and Nana Yaw Amponsah have all been reported as interested candidates vying for the position.
