Planning Committee for the Sekondi Eleven Wise centenary anniversary has been inaugurated today February 4.
The nine- member inaugurated by the patron of the club, Nana Kobina Nketsiah V at his palace today in Essikado would seek to the successful celebration of the centenary.
The committee made up of Ambassador Joseph Ackon, a retired diplomat as their Chairman, Nana Kwamina Awortwe, the Chief of Ngyiresia as their assistant, Mr. Victor Markin as Secretary, Alhaji Sani Buda Ali, Mr. Ato Van- Ess, Mr. Kweku Aikins, Isaac Paha, Nana Efua Ahemah ( Obaahema of Sekondi), Mr. William Daniels all as members.
Speaking after the inauguration exercise, Nana Kobina Nketsiah however entreats the Committee to revamp the team by bringing it back to the Ghanaian top-flight football.
” Aside the successful celebration of the anniversary which is your core mandate, bring back the team back to the Premier League”, he said.
Nana Kwamina Awortwe, the assistant of the Committee pledges their willingness to celebrate the anniversary successfully and help bring the team back to its glorious state.
Eleven Wise will be hundred years on April 9 but the anniversary has been slated for 1st- 9th April this year.
