Ghana have been booted out of the ongoing Total U-20 African Cup of Nation in Niger after losing narrowly to counterpart Mali today.
The Eagles defeated the Black Satellites thanks to Hadji Drame’s 53rd minutes strike at the Stade General Seyni Kountche today February 9.
The painful defeat means the former world champions are out of the competition and also failed to qualify for the 2019 U-20 World Cup in Poland.
Coach Jimmy Cobblah’ side placed third in group C with three points after three matches whilst Senegal topped with nine points with Mali cementing the second position with six.
This means Senegal and Mali have qualified for the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland and have also booked semi-final berth in the ongoing AFCON.
