Kumasi Asante Kotoko grossed a whooping 444,000 Ghana Cedis from the Zesco United clash yesterday.
Kotoko whipped the Zambian club 2:1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium yesterday February 13, 2019 courtesy goals from Kwame Bonsu Conte and winger Emmanuel Gyamfi.
After the clash, management of the Porcupines have announced that 444,000 Ghana Cedis was recorded from the gate proceeds.
The Youth and Sports Minister, Honorable Isaac Asiamah has also presented a cheque of 792,097.50 Ghana Cedis to the club in fulfilment of the ministry’s promise to support the club for reaching the group stages of the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup.
The 2:1 victory yesterday means the club get its first three points in the group stages of the competition and would play Nkana FC in Zambia as their next fixture.
