The Western regional Sports Director, Mr. Jeffrey K.Owusu Manzan has confidently stated that Sekondi Sports Stadium will soon be renovated.
Sekondi Sports Stadium located at Essipong, a suburb in Sekondi has been left to deteriorates after the 2008 African Cup of Nations.
The edifice built to co-host the 2008 AFCON in Ghana had seen no renovation work after the tournament and its current state is an eyesore. It now in an atrocious and a very disgracing state.
Most residence in the Oilcity have been calling on the Minister of Youth and Sports, Honorable Isaac Asiamah to at least renovate the once upon a time beautiful structure for them.
However, in an exclusive interview with Kyfilla.com, Mr. Manzan who has been touted by many in the region as an hard-working Western regional Sports Authority boss stated vehemently that talks are already in the pipeline and the structure would soon be renovated.
” The stadium would soon be renovated and I can confidently say so”, he told Kyfilla.com.
” I need to consult my bosses for details but I know in no time soon, it will be renovated.
